Zalman Alpha2 DS ARGB Control BOX — 6-port controller
The ARGB Control BOX controller serves as the central control hub of the Zalman Alpha2 DS liquid cooling system. Its purpose is to unify fan and ARGB lighting control into a single ecosystem, so the user does not need to rely on multiple separate headers on the motherboard.
The controller provides six independently controlled PWM ports and six ARGB ports for connecting the pump, fans, and IPS display. This design makes it possible to manage all cooling components centrally through one device.
The connection to the motherboard is made via a USB cable plugged into an available USB 2.0 header on the board, which allows the system to be controlled through Zalman’s proprietary OZ software.
If needed, ARGB and PWM signals can also be synchronized with motherboard headers or other controllers for users who prefer to work with the motherboard manufacturer’s software utilities such as ASUS Aura Sync, MSI Mystic Light, and others.
The fans support Daisy Chain technology with serial connection through 6-pin cables, which makes it possible to connect all three radiator fans to the controller in a single chain without using a separate header for each one.
